 Today in class, we did an assignment on evidence. We made a claim on a topic and gave evidence explaining why we supported the claim. I learned it's hard to find evidence for something you have a limited amount of experience with, so it is important to make a claim you can support. I didn't really like the lesson because the assignment was about topics I didn't know a lot about or even have an opinion on. 

I'm feeling tired today my swim practice yesterday was hard and really tired me out. I struggled to wake up and only got up when my mom came to wake me up. But other than that I'm staying on top of my school work and trying to keep my grades up.

  Prompt Response:  One truth I have had a hard time accepting is that I'm bad at most sports that involve a ball. I'm a swimmer and that's what I do but I still like to think I can play them well. This hit me when I played basketball with some friends and one of their little siblings joined in. I thought this was no big deal, but l was getting beat by him and that made me realize I wasn't the best a sports with a ball.  Summary: Today in class we completed a Newsela while Mr.Rease had a substitute  Reflection: I liked the lesson because the article we read was on an interesting topic everyone should know about the dangers of self diagnosis.

When you shop, do you check where products come from?

Prompt Response:  When I shop, I don't look where the product was made. It doesn't matter to me where a product is made as long as the quality of the product is great. I wouldn't pay extra for something made in the United States because if I'm comparing to products I'm only looking at price and quality to make my decision.  Summary: Today in class we read an article and anwserd questions and did a writing prompt on it.  Reflection:  I liked the simple assignment on a Friday because I was really tired.

 Today in class we started to type up our essay that we have been working on for the past week. The topic of my essay was on goals I had this year. I learned that writing an essay is not as hard as it seems at first glance. I like the lesson because I got to see the work I've done starting to come into a finished product. I did struggle a little writing my opening and closing paragraphs but nothing in can't over come. Feeling great today I revised my schedule to fit all I need to do. So I have time for everything I need to do in a day.
