 Today in class we started a group assignment. I learned that it is important to communicate during a group project. I could see that working with others is a skill I can improve on. I can use good communication throughout my life to be successful. I didn't really like the assignment because working in a group meant I had to compromise on how to do things. 

I'm doing well today, my coach said we had best average practice today so I'm not looking forward to that. I do have some homework I need to do tonight.

Prompt Response:  An item from my list was my swim goggles. It would tell about the hard practices we have been through. It would tell me about the way I treat it. That I should take better care of something I use every day. The goggles would talk about being in my swim bag for most of the time. How it is cramped and dark in there.  Summary: Today in class, we read a poem and started a presentation. Reflection: I liked the poem's theme that small things can be essential in someone's life.

How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on?

Prompt Response:  Usually, when I have a lot going on, it is because there are things I have planned and look forward to. But a busy day can still feel overwhelming and distract you from the little pleasures in life. Three things I do to enjoy the small things are to stop and take a deep breath outside and enjoy the weather and the outdoors, to be kind, and to always be grateful for everything.   Summary: Today in class, we had an assignment on NEWSela  Reflection: I thought the article had a good message to watch out for fake information and not believe everything you see online.
