8/30/24

 Today in class we did a vocab review. I learned that there are many many words in the dictionary but today my vocabulary expanded just a little. I plan to pay attention to vocab in the future to see new words and their meaning. I felt neutral about the lesson today. It's not my favorite thing to wring sentences for different words but, its not the worst thing we could have done. 

I'm feel good today and excited for the long weekend. I still have some work i need to get done over the weekend. I have some AP U.S history and AP psychology notes and vocab to do. I plan to use labor day as a day to get all of it done.

  Prompt Response:  One truth I have had a hard time accepting is that I'm bad at most sports that involve a ball. I'm a swimmer and that's what I do but I still like to think I can play them well. This hit me when I played basketball with some friends and one of their little siblings joined in. I thought this was no big deal, but l was getting beat by him and that made me realize I wasn't the best a sports with a ball.  Summary: Today in class we completed a Newsela while Mr.Rease had a substitute  Reflection: I liked the lesson because the article we read was on an interesting topic everyone should know about the dangers of self diagnosis.

When you shop, do you check where products come from?

Prompt Response:  When I shop, I don't look where the product was made. It doesn't matter to me where a product is made as long as the quality of the product is great. I wouldn't pay extra for something made in the United States because if I'm comparing to products I'm only looking at price and quality to make my decision.  Summary: Today in class we read an article and anwserd questions and did a writing prompt on it.  Reflection:  I liked the simple assignment on a Friday because I was really tired.

 Today in class we started to type up our essay that we have been working on for the past week. The topic of my essay was on goals I had this year. I learned that writing an essay is not as hard as it seems at first glance. I like the lesson because I got to see the work I've done starting to come into a finished product. I did struggle a little writing my opening and closing paragraphs but nothing in can't over come. Feeling great today I revised my schedule to fit all I need to do. So I have time for everything I need to do in a day.
