Share your personal tips for preparing for major exams.

Prompt Response:  When I prepare for major exams I like to first see what the material I will be tested on. Then I'll find my notes on that topic and If I didn't take notes I'll watch a video and take notes on that. After looking over my notes I like to quiz myself without using the notes to see what I need to work on. And last I make sure to get plenty of sleep to prepare myself. I also study in increments of 30 minutes so I don't get burnt out and I can stay productive for the longest I can.  Summary: Today in class we looked at a passage and did practice for the end-of-course exam  Reflection:  I thought that the practice helped me see that when reading, I should summarize each paragraph in my head to help me better understand the passage.

Prompt Response:  These experiences are real, although it doesn't make much scientific sense I believe that there is also a spiritual aspect to them. In the passage, it talked about all people around the world having these experiences and you can't say that it is not real when you have people who don't believe in a deity say they have experience.  Summary: Today we went over a passage about near-death experiences and answered questions about the informational text Reflection: I thought that the article was interesting and I liked learning about something I didn't really know anything about

When you become an adult, which lifestyle do you think you would prefer—city life or suburban life?

Prompt Response:  When I become an adult I think I would prefer suburban life. I think this because suburban life offers more space to live in. After all, you can live in a house. Rather than living in the city where you have to live in an apartment. Suburban living can also provide a yard and a safer environment to live in.  Summary: Today in class we read an article on common lit and answered some questions Reflection: I thought that the article was interesting and had an interesting point to make.

Based on the two informational passages that you've read thus far this week, write about how you personally strive to avoid student loan debt?

Prompt Response:  Based on the two informational passages that I have read this week on student debt, there are a few things I plan to do to avoid them. One thing I strive to do is to work towards a scholarship to help pay or to completely pay for college. I am working towards athletic and academic scholarships to increase my chances of getting one. Another thing that I can do is to look at the college and see what kind of programs they have versus another local college that would give me the same education for less money.  Summary: Today in class we read an article on student debt and answered questions about the article.  Reflection: I thought that class was important as a student to know about student loan debt since it will not be long before I graduate.

Prompt Response:  When I shop, I don't look where the product was made. It doesn't matter to me where a product is made as long as the quality of the product is great. I was really upset and I am really harsh on myself so I chewed myself out. But without that race I wouldn't have realized a critical mistake I was making that was making me slow. With the help of my coach, I am working to improve the skill so that the next opportunity I have to race I will be prepared.  Summary: Today in class we took a benchmark test. Reflection:  I don't really like tests but it wasn't long so I don't have too many complaints.

Prompt Response:  The lesson I learned while looking at this is hard work. It is a theme through out successful people and you can't avoid it if you want to achieve your dream. I can't be scared to put in work, it is what separates the good from great. You can be however talented you are, but without hardwork  it doesn't mean anything.  Summary: Today in class we read a poem and did a worksheet on goals  Reflection:  I thought that it was a good class, showing that you shouldn't put off your dreams and goals but just do it.

Choose a word from Vocabulary Lesson 12.

Prompt Response:   Macroscopic mean visible to the naked eye. I first heard the word back in elementary science. I was doing a lab talking about microscopic objects and using microscopes to see them. Then we talked about the opposite side of this, which is macroscopic. The lab helped me better understand the meaning with the help of the microscopes, showing that there are some things I can see without tools, and things I can only see with tools like a microscope.  Summary: Today in class we started vocabulary lesson 12, writing sentences and answering questions. I also like having the sun up longer instead of having the sun set around 7. I also like the routine of standard time better, I feel as if I am more rested when I lose an hour of sleep rather than gaining one.  Summary:  Today we had a virtual learning day so our assignment was to complete a NEWSela.  Reflection:  I like that the assignment was simple and straight forward.

Prompt Response:  My mom is the best cook in my family. She has been cooking for a long time and everything she makes is amazing. She can try to cook something once, fail, and the next time she tries it, it's perfect. A meal that I really love is her pork buns. They are really tasty and I can bring them for a lunch or have them at the house to eat. They are really good and one of my favorites.  Summary: Today in class we finished our cultural food posters Reflection:  I liked having a work period to finish my class work instead of going home and finishing it.

I went there with some friends because someone we knew lived in a county in Africa and he wanted to share his experience by taking us to a restaurant. The food was the worst I ever had.
